I'm going to be reading Being by Kevin Brooks. When I picked this book, some students said that it's a great read.

TIGER blogging . . .What is there about the book I'm reading that is keeping me interested!

I'm reading Dogtag Summer by Elizabeth Partridge. I'm really interested in finding out what actually happened to Tracy when she was a small girl in Vietnam and what happened to her Vietnamese family. Right now the author is giving little hints about Tracy's life in Vietnam before she was taken to America to be adopted. I think her adoptive father might have some connection to her GI father. At the beginning of the book, Tracy discovers her biological father's dogtags and she begins to wonder about her life in Vietnam.

I just finished Tighter by Adele Griffin. The book is about a girl, Jamie, with several problems that she just can't seem to deal with unless she pops a few pills. Her mother thinks she has the perfect solution for her melancholy ways, ship her off for the summer to work as an au pair for her rich ex-boyfriend's daughter. She only incurs more troubles, however, in the form of Milo, the older brother of her charge, the ghosts of the former au pair and her boyfriend, and the intrusive housekeeper. OR are things really as they seem to Jamie?
